Kevin Elmore

Kevin Elmore has been named Director for the Tarrant Small Business Development Center (SBDC), effective July 1, 2026.

In his new role, Elmore will provide leadership for Tarrant SBDC by strengthening collaborations with Tarrant County College, financial institutions, Chambers of Commerce, the City of Fort Worth, and numerous other community and economic development partners. Together, these partnerships will expand services that help small businesses achieve their goals while supporting the continued economic growth of Tarrant County.

Since joining Tarrant SBDC, Kevin has consistently ranked among the organization's top contributors to program delivery, demonstrating a strong commitment to the success of small businesses throughout Tarrant County. He has helped clients launch new businesses, navigate business turnarounds that resulted in rapid growth, and successfully complete business acquisitions.

His previous experience includes seven years of executive experience as a director of business development and strategic growth, as well as serving as a managing director of a technical training company — where he led the organization to record sales growth and profits. Elmore has a background in electrical utility, manufacturing and retail industries.

With extensive experience in business turnarounds, business development, strategic growth, and small business ownership, he brings a wealth of expertise and business acumen to his new role.

Elmore holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Oklahoma City University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
